LEAD PASTOR AHMAD J. DAWSON, SR.
Ahmad Jamal Dawson Sr. is a prophetic preacher, pastor, and global ministry leader whose voice transcends culture, gender, and generations. As the fourth child of Bishop Harold and Evangelist Mattie P. Dawson, he was shaped early by a rich spiritual heritage and a deep reverence for the Word of God. Known for delivering Scripture with prophetic clarity and practical insight, Pastor Dawson communicates timeless truth in a way that inspires transformation and action.
Though divinely ordained before birth, the public manifestation of his calling emerged in 1995. While earning a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications at Illinois State University, he was appointed International Youth Overseer of New Hope International Ministries, where he provided leadership and oversight to youth ministries across more than 140 churches worldwide.
In 2000, Pastor Dawson became Assistant Pastor of New Hope International Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia, serving faithfully alongside his father. After a season of prayer and fasting, he stepped out in faith in August 2005 to pursue the God-given vision of establishing a ministry devoted to raising destiny-driven believers and impacting nations for the Kingdom of God.
Today, Pastor Dawson and his wife, Executive Pastor Jewel Dawson, lead New Life Christian Church (NLCC) in Peoria, Illinois. Together, they form a dynamic leadership team whose ministry is marked by prophetic preaching, practical principles, and powerful praise.
While rooted locally, the reach of their ministry is global. With pastors representing multiple nations on the continent of Africa. This entity is a growing pastoral fellowship designed to equip and empower leaders as agents of change.
In addition to his pastoral work, Ahmad Jamal Dawson Sr. is an accomplished songwriter and author. His published works include The Silencing of the Seed, 21 Days to Spiritual Re-Alignment, L.I.T. (Living Intentionally Together), and Nextology.
Pastor Ahmad and Jewel Dawson have three children—Ahmani, Ahmad II, and Autumn, and reside in the city of Peoria, IL.
